In today's rapidly evolving political landscape, it is essential to challenge conventional beliefs and explore new perspectives that may unveil a different approach to running a democracy. This is especially crucial for politically minded individuals who are seeking a deeper understanding of the world around them. At HoffMedia, we aim to provide a platform for thought-provoking discussions and controversial concepts that encourage lateral thinking but also foster meaningful dialogue.

One of the most intriguing aspects of politics is the constant clash of ideas and beliefs which are often polarising and divisive. Part of the reason for this is the continued belief that the traditional political spectrum still exists in its original from ranging from Facism on the far right to Totalitarianism on the far left. At HoffMedia, we don't believe in right and left anymore, as far as it being a measure of where you stand politically. Originally the left and the right were created based purely on social class. If you were a blue collar worker, you were generally left and if you were white collar, management and aristocracy, you were generally right, albeit very slightly right in most cases, hence Conservatism.
However, the world has changed enormously since those days when a "vote for all" democracy was first bestowed upon everyone and if there was one day when the political spectrum was turned on its head, it was June 23rd 2016. Brexit was the most polarising subject to have been debated in recent times. Families and friends were divided to the point where I personally would not discuss which way I had voted because if the person on the other end of the conversation didn't lean that way, a heated argument generally ensued.
The point is that many of the issues surrounding Brexit and what a "leave" majority would mean for the country, were generally considered to be right wing policies. Yet, 30% of the Brexit "leave" vote was from Labour supporters. As if to corroborate this, three and a half years later, huge swathes of Labour supports switched to Conservative to sweep Boris Johnson in on a large majority.
So, many of the issues that are present in modern society today are not really definable by left or right policies and beliefs and therefore cannot be deftly dealt with by any of the parties so things have to change. The whole traditional mindset around what a political party's manifesto is needs to be ripped up and changed, in our opinion. A party created 100's of years ago under certain beliefs cannot cradle those same beliefs today and expect to get into power with any majority.
We'll see what the next few months bring politically within the UK, but unless there is a revolution in the way we run this country, nothing will ever change. In fact, it will just continue to get worse.
